Repeat-O-Type Upgrades Refills to be Useable on Both New and Old Style Hewlett-Packard 51626A Cartridges
- July 24, 1997 - Hewlett-Packard is now shipping their 51629A cartridges in the new style, too! Repeat-O-Type's item number DJ600BK has been modified to accomodate the changes.
Dateline -- Wayne, NJ, May 13, 1997 -- REPEAT-O-TYPE MANUFACTURING CORPORATION announced that as of today production of its item number DJREFHC has been modified to accommodate convenient refilling of Hewlett-Packard's recently redesigned 51626A inkjet cartridges. Repeat-O-Type claims it is the first refill kit on the market that addresses refilling of HP's new style cartridge. Use of the kit reduces printing costs by 50% or more.
Hewlett-Packard started phasing in their new style cartridges in January. H-P eliminated the fill hole on the top of the new cartridge and also redesigned the air venting system at the bottom of the cartridge.
REPEAT-O-TYPE's patented, easy to use refill kits now include a drill tool and pressure sensitive seal strip which are used to create and reclose the fill hole. The kits now include all components needed to fill both the old and new style cartridges. Also included is an easy to read instruction sheet.
