NEW KIT CUTS COST OF INKJET PHOTO PRINTING

Wayne, NJ. A new Photo Refill Ink System for use in Hewlett-Packard
DeskJet and DeskWriter 690C series printers has been developed by
Repeat-O-Type Manufacturing Corp. It is designed for refilling the HP
C1816A Photo Cartridge, which is used in conjunction with the HP
51649A Tri-Color cartridge when photo quality prints are desired.
Fred Keen, Repeat-O-Type's President, asserts that refilling HP's
cartridges will cut printing costs by 60%. Keen says that even
greater savings are attained because, if not refilled, the cartridge
has to be thrown out with two of the three colors not yet depleted.
The HP C1816A cartridge contains black, light cyan and light magenta
inks. The Repeat-O-Type refill system includes three 15ml dispensers
of ink--enough to refill each of the cartridge's chambers three times.
Beta testers liked the convenient plastic cartridge holder which is
included in the kit to make refilling neat and foolproof. The stock
number of the Repeat-O-Type Photo Refill Ink System is #DJRE69PH and
has a suggested retail price of $39.95.
Also available from Repeat-O-Type are refill kits for the HP 51649A
color cartridge and the HP 51629A black cartridge, both of which are
also used in the DeskJet 690C series printers. All of Repeat-O-Type's Refill Ink Systems are warranteed not only for
quality of materials and workmanship, but also against damage to the
printer in which they are used.
